BAS - Third Year
LibraryMy name is Andreas Farstad, and I am an architecture student in my third year, with a background in interior consultancy. Throughout my studies, I have developed a strong interest in micro-scale architecture and the exploration of spatial efficiency. Much of my work focuses on understanding how much space different functions truly require—whether in large-scale student housing or compact cabin designs.
I enjoy working by hand, and I often incorporate locally sourced materials as a key part of my design process. My style adapts to each client and project, but when viewed as a whole, my portfolio is influenced by traditional Japanese architecture, brutalism, and vernacular architecture from the North Atlantic region.
I am driven by curiosity, a deep fascination with spatial quality, and a desire to create meaningful, thoughtful, and well-crafted spaces.
